About Wrestler: Ryan Richards is a former two-time WAW Academy champion, becoming just the third wrestler to do so after winning the title from Drew Marshall in late 2020. He hopes to become the first-ever wrestler to claim the title three times before moving on to winning the WAW World Light Heavyweight Championship.

Richards first discovered his interest in British wrestling when he was introduced to the sport by his grandfather, Richard Pyke. He’s also a distant descendant of Oliver Cromwell. Before becoming a wrestler, Richards briefly pursued an interest in becoming a referee, a natural progression from his previous experience as a football referee.
