[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]We are pleased to announce that WAW and Bellatrix events will be resuming from September 5th 2020. Following our move to the new WAW Academy and Performance Centre, we have been developing a robust health and safety policy which has been written based on the latest UK Government advice regarding COVID-19 and will continue to be adapted as new guidelines are set out. All shows taking place at the facility will adhere to these rules; any shows taking place at external venues will be expected to follow these rules as a minimum, as well as any further guidelines set out by each venues’ own management.
WAW COVID-19 Safety Procedures
Upon arrival at the WAW Academy and Performance Centre, the following criteria must be followed in order to enter the building:
- Your temperature will be checked by a member of staff.
- If your temperature is above 37.5c you and anyone you arrived with must remain in an isolated area for fifteen minutes.
- If your temperature remains above 37.5c you and your party will not be able to enter.
- Passing either the first test or second test will allow you to enter the building.
- At this point you will be asked to fill out a track and trace form. Your information will only be used to contact you in the event of a positive test and will be destroyed two weeks after your visit.
- Hand sanitiser is provided.
- A mask or other protective facewear must be worn at all times by anyone over the age of 10, unless you are seated at ringside AND there is at least 2 metres between you and the nearest group.
- Your mask must be put back on if you leave the seated ringside area FOR ANY REASON.
- No food or drinks will be allowed into the facility. Refreshments will be available inside.
We will be publishing all of our health and safety policies online in the near future. Your safety is our greatest concern and we believe that making these requirements clear is the best way to ensure this.
There will be an event taking place at the WAW Academy and Performance Centre every Saturday for the foreseeable future. In September, this will consist of three different event types; WAW Elite, WAW Academy, and Bellatrix.
A new monthly pass will be available each month, granting access to every show taking place at the facility during that time period. Passes will cost £30 per person or £100 for a family pass, covering a maximum group of two adults and two children.
Individual show tickets for all of these events will be £12 per person. Family tickets are available at £40 with the same group requirements as the monthly pass. Under 5s will be allowed to enter all events for free but will be required to sit on a guardian’s lap during the show.
Doors will open for all events at 6.30pm with the first match scheduled to begin one hour later.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]
WAW Elite
WAW Elite will exclusively feature the cream of the crop from the WAW roster. These are the shows where you will see our champions and most experienced wrestlers. All of our Elite wrestlers seek fortune and success in the ring, only those with the most drive will rise above the rest to write their names in the history books and claim championship gold.
Controversy surrounded the closing moments of WAW Hard Times back in March when World Heavyweight Champion Ricky Knight Jr interfered to help his cousin PJ Knight win the vacant European Heavyweight title against Brad Slayer.
RKJ had previously courted PJ to join the Art of Pro Wrestling but his former tag team partner reluctant to accept. PJ’s friendship made it all the more surprising when he embraced the World Champion to close out the show. You can watch all of WAW Hard Times on our YouTube channel for free!
Hard Times also saw the return of former Open International Champion Aaron O’Malley. The Australian grappler, who hadn’t been seen in WAW since losing the title back in 2018, permanently moved to England at the beginning of the year. He was beaten in a closely fought contest by Jaiden Docwra, a talented youngster rising quickly through the ranks of WAW. Jaiden is already a former Academy and Under-23 Champion, holding both belts at the same time; has this young powerhouse been hungrily eyeing up which championship he wants to go after next?
See all of these stars and more when WAW’s most talented wrestlers enter the squared circle. We can guarantee that our entire roster will be looking to prove themselves worthy of the title Elite.
Two WAW Elite shows will be taking place in September. The first will be our first-ever show at the WAW Academy Performance Centre on Saturday 5th September. The second will take place on Saturday 26th September.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”16748″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://wawuk.com/events/waw-elite-05-09-20″][vc_btn title=”Tickets” color=”danger” align=”center” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fwawuk.com%2Fevents%2Fwaw-elite-05-09-20|||”][vc_single_image image=”16749″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://wawuk.com/events/waw-elite-26-09-20″][vc_btn title=”Tickets” color=”danger” align=”center” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fwawuk.com%2Fevents%2Fwaw-elite-26-09-20|||”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]
WAW Academy
The WAW Academy will return to its roots by showcasing the stars of the future. We believe that our trainees benefit from having the opportunity to learn by actively participating in matches, testing their knowledge and skills against each other, and proving their mettle before graduating to the main roster. Expect a competitive environment as Academy wrestlers seek to establish themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the ring.
Academy Champion Drew Marshall will have his hands full with #1 contender Mr. Hayward freshly returning from injury. The mysterious Dementors are Academy Tag Team Champions but several promising duos, including previous champions The Battlekats, looking to bring them down a peg.
Students of the WAW Academy will showcase their training on Saturday 12th September.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”16750″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://wawuk.com/events/waw-academy-12-09-20″][vc_btn title=”Tickets” color=”danger” align=”center” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fwawuk.com%2Fevents%2Fwaw-academy-12-09-20|||”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]
Bellatrix
Bellatrix Female Warriors offers female wrestlers from around the globe a spotlight to shine in with these all-female events.
The Bellatrix World title is currently vacant but for how much longer? There are plenty of talented wrestlers eager to claim the gold including several former champions. Promising young stars Leia Elise and Karama have both risen through the ranks and won multiple championships, could either of them be looking to claim the World title next?
You’ll also be able to see the likes of European Champion Violet O’Hara, British Champion Lady Bella van der Velt, Academy Champion Fifi, and many more.
The Warriors of Bellatrix return to the ring on Saturday 19th September.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_single_image image=”16770″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://wawuk.com/events/bellatrix-19-09-20″][vc_btn title=”Tickets” color=”danger” align=”center” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fwawuk.com%2Fevents%2Fbellatrix-19-09-20|||”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Check out our events section for all of our upcoming events, we’re looking forward to announcing more soon and experiencing the electric atmosphere our fans create once again![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]
