Fightmare 6 is less than three months away and, boy, it’s looking good!
We’ve got some big names lined up with some of the world’s biggest superstars coming to the Norfolk Showground for the sixth edition of WAW’s hallmark event, including some HUGE returning names and multiple former World champions!
Here’s a look at which wrestling stars have been announced so far:
Saraya
Get ready to see Saraya wrestle in her first WAW match since 2011! That’s right, Saraya returns to action in her home promotion for the first time in 13 years after making her sensational return to in-ring competition in 2022.
Saraya’s last WAW appearance saw her serve as the special guest referee in the WAW Fightmare IV main event, when her brothers Zak and Roy Knight faced off for the WAW World Heavyweight Championship. Now she steps between the ropes to compete herself!
Who will step up to take on the returning prodigal daughter of WAW?
James Storm
The Cowboy returns to WAW for the first time since 2019! A bonafide superstar and legendary tag team wrestler, James Storm is synonymous with TNA/Impact Wrestling with more reigns and days holding the TNA World Tag Team Championship than anyone in history. He’s also a former TNA World Heavyweight champion, as well as winning multiple NWA singles and tag team titles throughout his long career.
Storm is currently undefeated in WAW and will be looking to extend the streak at Fightmare 6. Who would you like to see against the Cowboy?
Luke Hawx
Former two-time WAW World Heavyweight champion Luke Hawx returns to WAW! Hawx last competed in a WAW ring at Fightmare 3 where he triumphed over Cody Hall and Hardcore Holly in a three-way match. In recent years, Hawx has featured for the National Wrestling Alliance and running his own Louisiana-based wrestling promotion, WildKat.
Hawx isn’t just a successful wrestler, you may have also seen him in some of the biggest blockbuster films and TV shows of the last decade, including Logan, The Fate of the Furious, and portraying Stone Cold Steve Austin in Young Rock, the hit sitcom based on the life of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
TJ Tremor
TJ Tremor arrived in WAW last summer and immediately made a huge impact. He spent several months feuding with PJ Knight over the CPW All African Championship. Since Tremor returned to South Africa, CPW became WAW’s local affiliate and rebranded as WAW South Africa. A team representing the home WAW roster travelled to South Africa for WAW SA’s WrestleMonster 6 event earlier this year, where Tremor triumphantly retained the WAW SA All African Championship in a rubber match against PJ.
Tremor returns to the UK at Fightmare 6 this September!
Rene Dupree
Rene Dupree made his first WAW appearance in style at Fightmare 3, teaming up with the legendary Billy Gunn and former Norwich City forward Grant Holt. The trio were victorious over the cocky KOSS Industries at Carrow Road. Now Dupree returns looking to continue his winning ways in WAW!
Dupree began his career as a teenage wrestling prodigy and was the first-ever teenager to win a title in WWE, capturing the World Tag Team Championship alongside Sylvain Grenier in 2003. Now a seasoned veteran, Dupree has wrestled all over the world with championship victories in the US, UK, Japan, and his home nation Canada. Could Dupree be looking to add another belt to his collection when he returns to WAW in September?
Stay tuned for more announcements and updates over the summer as we build up to this blockbuster event!
