The Staff spend much of the year dominating the WAW Academy, holding the Tag Team titles and chasing the singles championship to establish a monopoly over the roster. With Mr. Hayward’s willingness to play dirty and Sir Ryan’s legal scheming, it’s only a matter of time before the Staff start causing trouble again in 2022.
The UK Hooligans [Zak & Roy Knight]
One of British wrestling’s most dominant tag teams of all-time, the UK Hooligans successfully defended the WAW World Tag Team titles against all comers from January 1st to December 31st.
No team was able to overcome the unique team chemistry shown by the Knight brothers, whose combination of grit, resilience, and passion continues to make them a force to fear for every team who dares to step foot in a WAW ring.
The Battlekats [Battlekat Eli & Battlekat SL]
The Battlekats entered 2021 under the guidance of Ricky Knight and found a renewed energy in the ring, combining the tutor’s focus on traditional British wrestling with their own blend of high-flying action.
It may not have been the end result Ricky wanted but it certainly proved successful. The Battlekats won the WAW Academy Tag Team titles for the second time and held their own against several WAW Elite teams, including the UK Hooligans!
